Privacy — Blazer

The short version. We store your email address and the golf you tell us about. We don't track your location in the background, we don't show ads, and we don't sell anything to anybody. You can delete the lot from inside the app, and it's gone.

What we collect

What we don't collect

Background location. If you use "courses near me" your device works out where you are and asks us for nearby courses; we don't store it.
Advertising identifiers. There is no ad network in Blazer and no third-party analytics SDK.
Contacts, photos, calendar or health data. Playing partners are names you type, nothing is read from your phone.
Payment details. If you buy Blazer Pro, Apple or Google takes the payment. We never see your card.

Who else is involved

Supabase — hosts the database, sign-in and scorecard storage.
Resend — sends your sign-in emails. They process your email address to deliver them.
Apple and Google — distribute the app and handle any purchase.
Booking and activity partners — when you tap a link in the trip planner it opens their site in your browser. What happens there is covered by their privacy policy, not ours. We're told a booking happened and roughly which link caused it; we're not told who you are.

Commercial links

Some hotel, tour and equipment links earn us a commission. They're marked in the app wherever they appear, and they never appear on your passport, your map, your stats or your share card. Tapping one costs you nothing extra.

How long we keep it

Your account and everything in it stays until you delete it. Delete your account and it goes immediately — profile, rounds, bucket list, trips and scorecard photos, all removed by database cascade rather than a scheduled job.

Two things survive, both anonymous: course corrections you submitted that we've already applied, since they're now part of the course data rather than your data; and the tap counts on commercial links, which are never tied back to you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it.

Delete everything: in the app, You → Delete account. No email, no waiting.
Anything else: hello@blazergolf.com and we'll answer within 30 days.

If you think we've handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

Blazer isn't aimed at under-13s and we don't knowingly hold their data. If a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove the account.

Course data

Our course database comes from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence, with our own corrections and ratings on top. It's public information about golf courses — no personal data involved.

Changes

If we change anything that matters we'll say so in the app before it takes effect, not quietly edit this page.
